Power Apps Custom UI Widgets for M365 Copilot

In this post, I will demonstrate a new concept called MCP Apps and show how to build an Interactive Widget in Power Apps and use it in Copilot. This is game changing as Copilot will no longer be limited to only text based responses, but can provide you the response as a UI component.

On February 18th, 2025 Microsoft announced the public preview of the data exploration agent for Model driven apps. This new agent provides the ability to find records using complex filters using Copilot and Natural language to describe what data you are looking for.

The all new Microsoft Copilot experience in Microsoft Teams

Today, February 12th, 2024 Microsoft will start rolling out a new Copilot experience in Microsoft Teams. This new experience is an improved version of the Copilot app in Teams (formerly known as Microsoft 365 chat). The feature includes the same functionality and content of the current app, but also includes some additional benefits.

Copilot in Microsoft Apps announced

Yesterday 3/16, Microsoft announced copilot will become available in both Microsoft 365 products as well as the Power Platform. Copilot introduces a new way of enhanced working powered with AI. These AI capabilities are available in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Virtual Agents and will likely become available in other Microsoft products in the future.
