Updated Bootstrap version and modern lists for Power Pages in Power Platform 2024 Release Wave 1

In the last few days, we have seen a few updates in the Power Pages blog site that we have been waiting for. These are the creation of new Power Pages sites in Bootstrap version 5.2.2 and the Public Preview of modern lists for Power Pages. Let’s go over these updates.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform 2023 Release Wave 1 Plans

Yesterday (January 25, 2023), Microsoft release their plans for Microsoft Dynamics 2023 Release Wave 1. These release plans are available in various formats and can be accessed on the Microsoft Learn site, the Microsoft Release Planner or can be downloaded as PDFs.

Microsoft announces the General Availability (GA) of Power Pages

Last week on 10/12 at Microsoft Ignite, Microsoft announced the general availability of Microsoft Power Pages. Microsoft Power Pages joined the Power Platform family of products earlier this year as a standalone product. For those who are familiar with Power Apps Portals, the two products are not in yet in parity, and I assume that in time Power Apps Portals will be phased out and completely replaced by Power Pages.

Power Platform 2020 Release Wave 2 plan

Today, July 8, 2020, Microsoft released the Power Platform and Microsoft Dynamics 365 2020 Release Wave 2 plan documentation with a list of all the features that will be made available in the Wave 2 timeframe which starts October 2020 until March 2021. Going through all of the features is almost impossible unless you want a few hundred pages of documentation.

Showing page status of multi-page forms in Power Apps Portals

Creating navigation in a Power Apps portal application is straight forward, and can easily be done using Web Link Sets, but how about showing to the user where they are in the process and modifying the style of each element once the user has finished entering the data for that page. The Microsoft Dynamics 365 2019 Release Wave 2 is not available for early adopters. The release is scheduled to start deployment to production environments starting in October of 2019.
